The Aperitivo Society was created for those who love eating, drinking, and the community of it all.

We are a community built around the ritual of dining. Whether you're pulling up a chair at one of our hosted dinners, joining a workshop, or simply following along from afar — there's a seat here for you.

Hosted Dinners Our dinners are intimate, intentional dining experiences held in homes, event spaces, and restaurants. Each table is different — in size, in menu, in feel. Some spotlight the creativity of our hosts. Others bring in chefs whose work we love. All of them are designed to make you feel at home the moment you sit down.

The Community At the center of it all is a group of people who share one thing: a love of the table. Join the conversation in on substack or follow us on Instagram for updates on upcoming dinners, recommendations, spotlights, and more.

A woman with dark hair, red lipstick, and gold earrings is sitting on a green velvet armchair. She is wearing a striped shirt, black pants, and beige heels. She has her legs crossed with a pizza box on her lap. There is a small wooden table with a white sculpture and a box of pizza. Behind her is red curtain and white wall paneling.

ciao - my name is Maria.

I created The Aperitivo Society because I believe the best way to get to know someone is by sitting around a table and opening a bottle of wine. That's not just a philosophy — it's how I was raised. Growing up with Italian, Irish, and Croatian roots, hosting and bringing people together over food and drink has always been part of my DNA.

What started as a personal desire to build community through shared meals grew into something much bigger than I expected. Almost overnight, I realized I wasn't the only one craving this kind of experience — the unhurried dinner, the new face across the table, the slowed savoring of an afternoon spritz.

The Aperitivo Society is my answer to that craving. A community built around the ritual of gathering — hosted dinners, curated experiences, and a growing network of people who show up for the table and everything that happens around it.
